METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AIR PLANTING OF SEEDLINGS MANUAL The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for quickly and efficiently planting seedlings from the air by helicopter or airplane. Seedlings packed in cardboard boxes inside ice cones are planted by dropping them off the plane from a plane or helicopter. The invention belongs to the field of forestry. With this method, planting takes place quickly and with little labor in both normal and particularly inaccessible terrain. Using the method, the plantings can be treated over large areas and no additional, foreign matter is left in nature. The closest state of the art is the normal planting of seedlings in the ground from the ground. The known planting methods have not utilized aerial planting or the utilization of ice in the invention to immerse the seedlings in the soil, to moisten and compact the soil around the seedlings. To achieve the object of the invention, the seedlings o are planted in the soil inside O 2 double-walled housings made of cardboard. The outer 3 parts of the housings are filled with fertilized soil, lichen S or heather. An ice cone of suitable weight and shape is frozen around the seedling box. The frozen seedling housing is installed inside the release hood. The seedling boxes can also be fed, for example, by dropping from a conveyor belt, in which case a release hood is not required. A metal tube is attached under the air hood, the lower part of which is surrounded by a retaining ring made of a rubber ring or a metal spring. A separately made ice cone is installed inside the pipe as shown in Figure 1. The purpose of the ice is to give the package sufficient weight to immerse the trout in the ground, to allow sufficient space for the soil to flow around the trout and to ensure initial wetting of the seedling. The invention can also be used for planting crops etc. The invention can also be used to detect forest fires, to install sensors to be installed in the field and to sow remotely fired ammunition for military purposes.
